Silicone Gaskets & Seals

Any silicone gasket manufactured by Hennig Gasket & Seals is guaranteed by our promise of delivering high performance silicone gaskets on-budget and on-time  with unbeatable customer service.  We have built a 100+ year reputation across the country and across a wide range of industries of being the silicone gasket manufacturer who really delivers what we promise.  Our engineering department will work with your provided blueprint or will reverse engineer your sample part to your exact specifications and tolerance requirements.

Our in-house manufacturing capabilities for silicone gaskets and seals include state-of-the-art waterjet cutting services which produce silicone rubber gaskets as small as 1/4” diameter up to 48” diameter, exceptionally smooth edges and minimal material waste with flash cutting, die cutting and hand cutting.

Silicone Gasket & Seal Applications

Typically heat resistant and rubber-like, Silicone rubber gaskets are used in a variety of industries including:

  • Electrical (insulators)
  • Aerospace (seals)
  • Office Machines (keyboards)
  • Surgical & Food Processing (application requiring high biocompatibility)

Silicone Gasket Sheet Material

Hennig Gasket & Seals is a stocking distributor of a wide variety of silicone rubber sheet.  Silicone has excellent weathering properties and handles both hot and cold temperature extremes; resists ozone and oxygen attack.  A long service life can be expected at 200°F to 400°F (93°C to 204°C).   Silicone rubber sheet has poor resistance to oils, fuels, and hydrocarbons.  Fair performance when exposed to acids, alkalis and solvents.  Physical properties (tensile, abrasion, tear and cut growth) are fair. Because silicone is odorless and tasteless, it is ideal for certain surgical and food processing applications.

Silicone Gasket Material Grades

Commercial Grade Silicone "CG" is a solid silicone commercial grade sheet designed to be used in applications where physical properties are not critical but extreme temperature resistance is still needed.

Specification Grade Silicone "GP" is a solid silicone specification grade sheet or roll designed to be used in applications where higher physical properties and lower compression set are required.  It is resistant to extreme high and low temperatures and available in many colors.

FDA Grade White Silicone "FDA" is a solid silicone FDA grade sheet used in applications where food is present.  This material is low volatile, peroxide free and does not discolor over time.  The most common color is white, but available is a few other colors.

Translucent Grade Silicone Sheeting is used in many general applications.  The ingredients used to make this product are listed in DFR 177.2600 of the FDA regulations.

Fluorosilicone Sheeting "FS" is a solid silicone sheet designed to be used in applications where normal silicone would degrade by harsh chemicals or fluids and is used where extreme conditions exist.

Fiberglass Reinforced Silicone Sheeting is designed as a resilient, non porous sheet matieral.  The fiberglass is centered between the 2 layers of silicone that gives the material dimensional stability and higher tensile strength.

Medical Grade Silicone "MED" is a premium grade silicone used in health care applications.  The base silicone polymer has been tested to meet USP Class 6 standards.  The ingredients used to make this product are also listed in the CFR177.2600 FDA regulations.  This material is low volatile, peroxide free, platinum cured, and does not discolor over time.

Electrically Conductive Silicone "COND" is a solid silicone sheet/roll designed to be used in a variety of applications.  It is a carbon black filled silicone material that will act as a low amperage conductor, and also provide protection against electrostatic discharge.

High Strength Silicone "HS" is a solid silicone sheet with high tensile strength and very good tear resistance.  The ingredients used to make this product are listed in CFR 177.2600 FDA regulations.

Medium Strenth Silicone "MS" is a solid silicone sheet designed to be used in applicaitons where high physical properties are required without going to a high strength grade.  Red and grey are standard colors but other colors are available.

Extreme Low Temperature Grade "LT" is a solid silicone sheet designed to be used in applications where the material will see extreme low temperatures (-103°F)

Extreme Low Temperature Grade High Strength "HS/LT" is a solid silicone sheet designed to be used in applications where the material will see extreme low temperatures (-130°F) but also need the highest physical properties.  This material is not stocked or available for same day shipping.

Extreme High Temperature Grade is a solid silicone sheet/rolls designed to be used in applications where very extreme temperatures are required for extended periods of time.  It is available in assorted colors.
