White Viton Rubber Specifications

Temperature Range:  -4° to +410° F
Durometer:  65 Shore A
Thickness:  1/32” – ¼”
Width:  48” rolls, sheeting cut to specification

Viton differs from other elastomeric sealing materials in having a high proportion of fluorine in addition to carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. This gives it an impressively wide temperature range (-4° to +410 °F) along with resistance to oxidation, ozone, UV light and a wide range of chemicals. Being compatible with oils, acids and halogenated and aromatic hydrocarbons, Viton is suitable for use in a very wide range of applications.

FDA white Viton has a durometer of 65 Shore A and excellent compression resistance. Combined with it’s impressive thermal and chemical resistance properties, this makes it an excellent choice for seals and gaskets in industries from food and beverage production to pharmaceuticals. However, it is also one of the more expensive gasket materials: unless it’s unique capabilities are needed other materials like white neoprene or NBR may be more cost-effective.

White Viton rubber is available in rolls 48” wide and in thicknesses from 1/32” to ¼”.   Hennig Gasket will cut material to specific sheet sizes upon request.
